Decorating Christmas Lanterns Ideas:

I’m so excited to share these 6 days of DIYs and Christmas decor inspiration with you! All the materials I used are listed below. Light displays are really popular this year so I thought I would share a few you can make at home. I’m in love with the mini gingerbread house lantern display and think these are such a great, modern way to decorate for Christmas. Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below! **I found my battery operated fairy lights at Michael’s.

1. Hand-Lettered Shadowbox Light Display
– Shadowbox
– White scratch/sketch paper
– black cardstock
– pencil
– scissors
– clear adhesive dots
– chalk marker
– tape
– battery operated lights – with a wire string (you need a very thing string)

2. Vase Arrangement Display
– vase
– battery operated string lights
– filler ornaments (I recommend using things you already have) or buying cheap things that are easy to spray paint. Finding things outside is also a great option! Make sure you get things in a variety of sizes!

3. Gingerbread House Lantern Display
– battery operated string lights
– container of your choice, or lantern
– graham crackers
– serrated knife
– cutting board
– hot glue gun and hot glue
– royal icing, see this video for a how-to:
– piping bags and any tips you need for your decorating ideas, you can keep it simple with a plastic bag.
– gingerbread house decorations of your choice (candy, icing, etc.)
– tiny faux tree
