This crib is made from pine wood and it had some broken spindles and some deep scratches. I first took apart the broken spindles. The spindles are made from two pieces and kept together by a 6 mm wood dowel and wood glue. In time wood dowels broke, so to remove the dowels I used a pair of pliers and a cordless drill and 3 and 6 mm drill bits. Than I used new 6mm dowels and wood glue to put everything together.
After that, I begin sanding the crib first with 60 grit sandpaper, than 120 grit, 240 grit and finally 320 grit sandpaper.
For finishing I used wallnut colored laquer. Where I removed the old finish I applyed a coat of laquer with a rag, and than I give it 3 coats of colored laquer with the sray gun.
